Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on your needs. An infrared thermometer is best for non-contact, rapid screening in public spaces or for infants, as it prevents cross-contamination. A standard digital thermometer is often preferred for pinpoint oral or axillary (armpit) accuracy in a clinical or home setting. Both options available at PPE Online meet rigorous Canadian safety standards.
Accuracy is determined by the sensor quality and calibration. Our devices utilize the latest nanotechnology to ensure an error margin of less than 0.1°C. Always ensure your device is Health Canada approved, like the models we supply, to guarantee medical-grade performance.
Many of our advanced infrared models feature a "Dual Mode" toggle. This allows you to switch between "Body Mode" for humans and "Surface Mode" for measuring the temperature of objects like baby bottles or room environments.
We prioritize speed. When you order a digital thermometer or PPE supplies through ppeonline.ca, most orders are processed and shipped the next business day from our local warehouse, ensuring you don't have to wait for international transit.
